Caroline is a licensed attorney with more than 20 years experience in providing strategic guidance to the heavily regulated life science industry, including prescription pharmaceutical, over-the-counter (OTC) drug, and biotechnology companies.
Caroline partners with organizations on smart risk-taking, which entails a solution-oriented approach that strikes a balance between strategically managing any inherent risks, while creatively enabling them to achieve their objectives.
She has extensive experience with product launches, all facets of patient as well as healthcare professional marketing campaigns, and disease state education initiatives. She serves on numerous cross-functional promotional and medical review committees, supporting a range of products across various therapeutic areas and life cycles.
She additionally advises and provides legal support and training to clients on legal, compliance, regulatory, and company reputation issues, including compliance with healthcare laws, marketing and advertising regulations, the Anti-Kickback statute, fraud and abuse issues, HITECH/HIPAA, FDCA, FDAMA, PhRMA Code, FDA and FTC guidances.
Caroline earned a BA from Binghamton University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the Dean’s List. She thereafter supported pharmaceutical company clients’ litigation needs while working at a white shoe law firm in New York City.
